Giveaway: national Feral cat Day t-shirt from alley cat Allies

October 16 is national Feral cat Day. This day was launched in 2001 by alley cat Allies, a national advocate for feral and stray cats and the foremost authority on Trap-Neuter-Return, to bring attention to the unnecessary killing of cats in shelters.

Feral cats are the same species as our beloved pet cats – except they have much harder lives. They live outdoors, and most can’t be socialized to tolerate and live with humans. most animal shelters across the united states kill virtually all feral cat who come through their doors, because they either can’t be adopted, or because working with them to try to make them adoptable takes too much time and effort.

On Oct. 16, hundreds of groups will come together at events nationwide to raise awareness about feral cats. find out how you can participate in Feral cat Day in your community by visiting NationalFeralCatDay.org.

To show your support of feral cats, and cats everywhere, alley cat Allies has designed their advocate t-shirts. They come in a whole rainbow of colors. We’re giving away two of the green shirts pictured below to two lucky winners. winner gets to choose size.

I would like to win the shirt to show my support of the feral cats in my community. along with feeding the strays in the neighborhood, I just jointed a committee in my city to establish a TNR program.

I am a big supporter of alley cat Allies, feral kitties, and a big fan of Jackson Galaxy and of course your blog. I would like to win this shirt so I can show everyone that I support feral cats when I wear it. I help take care of a colony and TNR.

I already feed up to 4 feral cats here at my home already. While they are so feral they do stay a safe distance from me when I set out food for them. We don’t have a TNR program here. I actually have a feral or two come up to the storm door and peer in to let me know their feed dishes are mt. I don’t expect any reward for what I do. I do it from my heart. now I just wish they would return my care in kind by killing those pesky and destructive ground moles for me. I also provide shelter for the ferals to go to in inclement weather.

I’m always encouraging people to be more aware of cats needs from adoption to better diets and recently the subject of feral cats has become very near and dear to me. What better way to break the ice on issues by wearing a shirt, this would be a terrific anullnull
